Update on Dad

Dad is not doing real well. He will not be getting a chemo treatment this week and maybe not next week. He is doing well with the radiation. He has only 4 more treatments of radiation and then he is finished with that. If he doesn't have the chemo while he is having radiation then he does not have to 'make them up' , he will just not have them. The tumor is smaller but it is still there. We learned today that it will never, ever completely go away because it is made up of scar tissue as well as cancer cells. But because the radiation makes things other than cancer "light up" in a PET scan, we have to wait 6-8 weeks before doing a PET scan. He will have one sometime in October, until then we will have no treatments and no news. We will let you know anything we find out. We love you.
