question of the week

This is probably one of the hardest questions I could have been ask. I have 100's of children's books because I love them. At first, I was unsure how to respond, because I have to admit, I have different favorites for different moods. For example, when I am thinking about my family, my favorite book is All the Places to Love, by Patricia MacLachlan or The Seven Silly Eaters by Mary Ann Hoberman. But I am feeling in a more comical mood I love Piggie Pie by Margie Palatini or The Secret Knowledge of Grown-ups by David Wisniewski. After reading Telima’s entry, I started thinking about a children book I can remember from my childhood, not something I have found as an adult. I remember all the books already listed, even Zeralda’s Orge. I did my first lesson, way back before I was actually in the El Ed program, on Where the Wild Things Are and the first children’s book I actually bought on my own was Heckedy Peg. But, there are two books I remember from way far back in my childhood. They are Little Bear, who loved his mother and whose mother loved him (that what I remember the most about that book) and Tikki Tikki Tembo, Arlene Mosel which I vividly remember checking out of the library numerous times either by Mom or by myself.I brought my copy in Hawaii. Hence other memories.
