Things I learned this week
Things I learned or was reminded of this week:
I really don't like cilantro.
11:00 is too late to be out when one has to arise at 6 am the next morning.
I really love playing the piano, but if you are not careful it can take over your life.
I enjoy violin concertos better live than recorded.
What a weekend. Almost as busy as my last one, but not quite. Our stake started their Easter Cantata practices this Saturday morning. We are doing a program that they did about 10 years ago and no I am not playing (and feeling relieved for all the honor it was last year). Later I made salsa using the Carter's recipe and have decided about 1/4 of the cilantro will do for me next time. I went to the Symphony last night with the Baker girls and a violinist by the name of Rachel Barton Pine played. Our seats were almost to the center of the first row so we saw everything quite well. It was great, but late- She did two encores that were fascinating and incredible but I didn't get back home until 11:00 p.m. Then our ward conference was today and I was scheduled to play for both a special musical number and the ward choir. Both spent an hour practicing before church today- hence the 6:00 wake up call. Then, right before sacrament meeting, the bishop said we would not be doing the special musical number because of time constraints. At least until the stake president got up for his talk and said that if Sister Toblar was still available he would like to hear those prepared to share their testimony through song. I couldn't figure out who he was talking about at first until I realized my name was spelled wrong in the program. Anyway we all got up and performed. The rest of ward conference was fantastic. I love hearing from our leaders, I really feel they receive inspiration for us, right now, from the Lord. Well, just catching you all up on my life, which hasn't changed a ton since I last saw you all. I miss everyone- but I have not decided to move- I love Colorado way to much!!!
