My life at the moment

At the moment my life is going, going, almost gone. Not really, just some days feel like that.
My car had surgery yesterday. Major, open heart surgery. Actually, I don't have a clue exactly what was opened up but it felt like an open heart when I saw the pricing for the operation. I knew the poor thing was having trouble. I have been very loudly making my way around corners for a while now and had two 'gaskets' of some kind replaced on either side of my car, along with my power steering pin and my battery. Major sigh- but as the man at the garage said, "Toyotas will take you easily to 4 or 5 hundred thousand miles (I am only at 102) but only if you take care of this now." Sigh!! Oh, well, that is life! At least people can't tell I'm turning a corner for miles around. Now if only gas will allow me to drive the thing, I will be happily happy.

By the way, did you know gas in LA is over $3.00 and closing in on the $4.00 mark??? Glad I don't live there. We are at about $2.68 or so which is hard enough, in my opinion. What you are dealing with at the moment?
