Semi-relevant question
I've been wondering this for a couple of days now: You know the saying "Running around like a chicken with its head cut off"? So how do you really cut a chicken's head off? Is it possible to do by yourself?
Think about it. Most people have two arms, right? So if you are holding the chicken down on the cutting block with one hand, you've got the ax in the other hand...how do you make sure the chicken's neck and head stay put so you can lop it off? If you hold the chicken by the neck, aren't you at risk of losing your fingers to the ax? But then how does it work? Do you need a guillotine?
