White Sands, New Mexico

"Didn't a space shuttle land in some place called White Plains?"

"White Sands, New Mexico! Columbia of '82 landed there after missing Edwards!"

The Discovery might have to land in White Sands today if weather doesn't clear up at Edwards and Florida. Although the SpaceCampers landed there in the movie, there has only been one landing at White Sands, the aforementioned Columbia of '82.
