Question for Keryn

This is one I think that Keryn can answer, but if anyone else knows the answer, chime in!

I was watching the news tonight and they were talking about Obama and his transition and so forth. The question is this. The news (CBS, if anyone cares) kept referring to him as Mr. Obama. Shouldn't they be referring to him as President Elect Obama?
