RE: Murderous Dolls
Jen, I totally remember that story. I was afraid of Grandma's "Spare Oom", too--those masks just stared at you in the dark. Spooky. And I was a little afraid of LaDale's pretty display doll thingie--with the pink dress, remember that?
And last night Mercy says, "Heidi hurt me!" (Heidi is her new doll.) Coming right after I read Jen's post, I was a little concerned! Turns out that Heidi did not turn into a bloodthirsty murderess. Mercy just dropped the doll directly onto her (Mercy's) face. Whew!
Let me tell you about Heidi. When Mercy opened the doll's package on her birthday, I asked her what the dolly's name was. She said something like "Baby"--except I heard "Lady", Bradley heard "Freddy", and LaDale heard "Heidi". So we chose Heidi, as the most appropriate name for a baby doll. And Mercy loves Heidi.
