Sunday
So we survived sacrament meeting once again. Jeff has been great with keeping the kids occupied while I'm playing. Today, the bishop got up and canceled the rest hymn, the first speaker had gone really long and the second speaker only had ten minutes left! I took Lillian to the bathroom three times today, once during Sacrament, once just after she did the article of faith and once when they pulled me out of Relief Society to take her! While we were in the hall coming back to Sacrament we caught (literally) a one year old in the ward running down the hallway opening doors to the other wards classes by herself. Her mom had taken her to the mother room so she could nurse the baby and Hannah had escaped and her it had taken her mom a bit to get presentable enough to give chase. Hannah's dad was the second speaker, so he couldn't help at all. So we had an extra rug rat join us in the pew during the second half of the meeting. After Hannah's dad finished, I took her up on the stand with me and handed her off before playing the closing song.
Lillian did really well in Primary. We started, "We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the gospel are, first, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ..." At which point Lillian loudly proclaimed "Amen!" causing every adult in the room to crack up.
Heather has a new teacher. She saw me in the hall just after I had taken Lillian to the bathroom the third time and asked me how do deal with Heather. Heather had started to cry in class today because she had been asked to read. We talked for a few moments and now Katie will be calling on Saturday if she wants Heather to read anything so we can practice so she can read it without feeling self conscious is class.
I have decided that I am not making more then four copies of my book for the young women to read. They don't need to all read it simultaneously. I only need the first round to be done before I start sending it to agents, so we're going to do a library type thing where they sign out a copy for two weeks and then it has to go to the next person in line. I have ten girls signed up to read it currently, and more call in every few days.
Well, we're having spaghetti, garlic bread and Jello for dinner tonight and I need to get the meat done and the water started. All my kids are apparently "STARVING," or at least they think they are. It might just be the smell that wafts through the house because the sauce has been simmering in the crock pot all day. We'll see!
