Rainy days and Mondays always get me down
Actually- they don’t. And today it was bright and sunny and almost too hot by the afternoon in a school without air conditioning.
This morning was an early morning and I was to school by 6:45 to get ready for my end of the year compelling conversation with my supervisor. Here’s my day in a nutshell:
* An hour meeting with Carol while I hope my substitute isn’t sinking
* Returning to class to find out CR is horribly wounded because CF threw a pencil at him and, boy, is his dad going to be MAD
* An insane session with the middle school trying to get all our kids registered at the middle school (this is the first year they’ve had the kids to it themselves and they let us know- umm- at the last minute they needed an hour of computer time with out kids today
* An afternoon with my kids creating a new country and/or finishing any make-up work they haven’t turned in yet (I am the ruler of Toberia and can hardly read the new language they’ve invented!?!?) and preparing for a revolutionary war debate they will be having tomorrow between the Patriots and the Loyalist
* A splitting headache by the end of the day for really no discernible reason so I came home pretty quick- thank goodness I don’t have piano today
* Writing this right now
* Will finish putting together the end of the year graduation slide show of the exhibition with pictures I’ve been taking for months during dinner
* If this headache continues- will go to bed early!!! If it doesn’t and I suddenly feel wonderfully- I will finish report cards for family home evening!!!
* Will be loving each of you and missing you and thinking about you
