A little of Taiwan
I want to share with you all a little of my trip in Taiwan. The food is great and weird. I realized only a few days ago, whenever we were taken out to eat by a large group of people, they expect the guests to dish up first. Since it is all new to us we wanted to follow and learn as they eat. But they expected us to dish first. So, they forced us to keep eating without us really knowing why. Every time a new dish comes out, they say, 'Try this.' Then the food keeps coming out. The meals they treat us to are long and never ending.
Other then food, the classes we are going to are fun. We have been to a lot of high school classes. In each class we do a variation on a lesson. We have the students measure the length of an oil molecule. The actual size is about 2 nm. Each class is slightly different and will usually get about 10 times larger then the actual size. The students are great. For the most part they understand us but we usually have a translator to help in those parts where we know they do not understand. It has been a fun experience to say the least.
Aside from that, I REALLY miss my beautiful wife and my adorable kids. Today, Wednesday, we visited a native aboriginal community. In one of the shops was a cute little boy eating ice cream. He reminded me so much of Kip I nearly cried. I do miss them a lot. Thank goodness for the internet. I can usually see them in my early morning and their early afternoon.
I love you all. SKT
